Given by Maria LaFond at the end of her life to her housemaid in Blace.
Private Collection, bought from the family of the above.

General Notes

The subject of this painting, Maria Lafond, who was his housekeeper in Blaceret. She also beacame his model and muse for the last 20 years of his life and appeared in many of his paintings. She also accompanied him on his painting trips to various interesting locations.

Cora, the dog in this painting also appeared in a number of Valette works.
